Jessie Evans was born in Mendocino, California. From a young age she was eager to learn every instrument she could get her hands on, beginning at age 4 with the violin. She thought it was classical training that she was after but this grew boring and she was eventually kicked out of the school marching band in the 7th grade for being on acid. At 16 she left home and ventured out of America, traveling to London, Dublin, Amsterdam and across Spain playing sax on the streets and sleeping in the backyards of abandoned orchards.

She now works with drummer Toby Dammit (Iggy Pop, Swans) and is set to release a solo record soon.
